Mon-Fri, 9am and 5pm (closed bank holidays)
Anyone who supports our aims and objectives is eligible to apply to become a member. All members of staff are automatically members of NCT unless they choose to opt-out of NCT membership.
NCT aims to reduce its carbon footprint and contact members in a cost effective and sustainable way. Notwithstanding opt-out rights under data protection legislation, members agree to be contacted by electronic means as the primary mode of contact. If you prefer not to have any contact (other than Annual General Meeting proceedings – which we are required to do) you can update your preferences by emailing enquiries@nct.org.uk.
Two people living at the same address can be joint members provided that they provide a separate contact email address. Each is a member in their own right and each will have one vote in any matters before the Annual General Meeting.
Members may receive information about services and events from their local NCT branch (if there is an active one in your area). If you prefer not to have any contact (other than Annual General Meeting proceedings – which we are required to do) you can update your preferences by emailing enquiries@nct.org.uk.
Every member has a right to attend and vote in the NCT Annual General Meeting. Members have the right to appoint a proxy for these proceedings. NCT will contact you about the AGM proceedings in line with its legal obligations.
All membership contributions are recognised under charity law as donations to the NCT charity registered in England and Wales: 801395 and Scotland: SC041592
Members may cancel their membership at any time but we are not able to reimburse money already donated other than instances of an error on the part of NCT or in exceptional circumstances.
We’re committed to providing high quality service in everything we do. However, we understand that sometimes things don’t go according to plan and you may not get the experience you expect.
To make sure that we continue to offer a quality experience to as many people as possible, we have put in place a complaints procedure so that constructive complaints can help us improve our goods and services.
Our complaints procedure aims to provide a quick, simple and streamlined way to resolve your issue and focus on an early resolution for you, provided by empowered and well trained staff.
If you would like to make complaint, please contact our enquiries team by email at enquiries@nct.org.uk.
Membership of NCT may involve offers and benefits from third-parties. Terms and conditions apply to all benefits. See website for details. Offers subject to change without notice. All insurance is subject to underwriting. NCT Members Club is managed on behalf of NCT by Parliament Hill Ltd of 40 Gracechurch St, London, EC3V 0BT. Neither NCT nor Parliament Hill are part of the same group as a provider. All membership discounts are at the discretion of the third-party provider and can be withdrawn or amended without notice. We ask that NCT discounts are used in the spirit in which they are provided to you. These benefits may be subject to fair use condition by NCT members.
Membership ceases automatically if a required membership subscription is not paid within three months of the due date.
Membership can be removed for conduct that is in conflict with NCT’s objects or interests. This is a significant step and may only be undertaken by the Chief Executive with the agreement of the Board.
A member may appeal the removal of a membership by appealing in writing to the Trustees.
Your privacy is very important to us, so we'll always keep your details secure and never use them for marketing communications that you haven't agreed to receive.
We may ask for the due date of babies. This is because our membership is based around supporting you through early parenting and having this data enables us to more specifically look after your needs, at each stage of your parenting journey.
We will seek positive consent from you before contacting you for marketing purposes. However, we may still contact you to fulfil our membership contract, or where there is legitimate interest in subjects to which you as a member would reasonably expect communications (e.g. AGM notices).
You can change your mind at any time about whether to receive information from us, or how you're contacted for marketing purposes, by emailing our Enquiries department at enquiries@nct.org.uk or by phone on 0300 330 070. If any details we hold about you appear to be incorrect or need updating, please also contact our Enquiries department, as above, in the first instance.
We will only use your data for the purposes detailed within our Privacy Policy and will not keep your data for any longer than is absolutely necessary. You can read our full Privacy Policy on our website.
